Suzanne Plummer is a Senior Director of Design Engineering at Advanced Micro Devices in Austin, Texas (AMD). She has worked in the semiconductor industry for 28 years.
Suzanne worked in applications engineering at Motorola Semiconductor before transitioning to design engineering, where she held various roles including architecture, performance modeling, RTL design, and design management. She led the RTL design team on a low-power x86 microprocessor, and also directed the x86 microprocessor that was used in all of AMD’s game console wins. Most recently, Suzanne directed the design of the Zen Microprocessor – AMD’s pre-eminent x86 microprocessor and AMD’s re-entry into the high-performance x86 market.
Suzanne is currently the Engineering Lead and interface for all products developed for Microsoft in the Semi-custom business unit.
She is married to James Clark and is the proud mother of three amazing sons – Adam, John, and Alex and two troublesome dogs – Lacey and Louis.
